Our Access Statement
We aim to cater for the needs of all visitors in our home based on bedroom, bed and breakfast.
The following statement is a summary of our provision.

Pre-arrival
There is a bus stop opposite our front door & there is a frequent bus service
The main train station is 5minutes away by car.
There is a local Taxi service that has accessible taxis if required. We can make a booking for you

Arrival & Car Parking Facilities
The car park is 30 metres from the front door. There are no marked bays but there is room for up to 8 cars. The surface is gravel & is slightly raised off the road. You then have to walk 30 metres up the public footpath, but we can assist guests with luggage.
Main Entrance
There are 8 steps up to the front door each step is 15cm high by 150cm wide with a wooden hand rail on the left hand side.
The front door is locked in the late evening and the vestibule door is on a Yale lock.
The front door is 100cm wide and the vestibule door is 90cm wide.
On entry to our home the hallway is 4½ metres long, 140cm wide and the flooring is short pile
carpet.
Public Areas
Internal entry to the lounge & dining room is off the hallway.
The door way is 85cm wide and the flooring is short pile carpet.
There are 13 stairs to a small landing then a further 5 stairs to rooms 1 & 3 or a further 2 stairs
to the rest of the rooms along a corridor
The stairs are 88cm wide by 24cm deep and 17cm high with short pile carpeting
Dining Room & Lounge
The furniture in the dining room can be moved on request Tables are 62cm high by 60cm wide (legs on each corner ) and have space under. The chairs do not have arms.
Bedrooms
Bedroom 1) is a very large flexible room, e.g. family, double, twin. All bed have access from either side. There is a dressing table with mirror & under space, remote control television, two armchairs, a stool and bedside cabinets.
The floor space measures The room is en-suite with double shower with a 30cm entry step, a hand basin and a toilet that is 46cm high.
Bedroom 3) is also is a large room, flexible as a double or twin. It has a chest of drawers, clothes rail with floating shelf mirror above, an arm chair, stool, bedside cabinet and remote control television The floor space measures The room is en-suite with a single shower, hand basin and toilet (46cm high ).
Bedroom 5) is a single room with single bed which has access on both sides. There is a dressing table with under space, chest of draws, arm chair and stool. There is a hand basin in the room with a separately enclosed single shower and toilet Floor space measures
Bedroom 7) Is a twin room with 2 single beds with access from both sides. There is a dressing table with under space, a bedside cabinet, one upright chair (no arms), a stool and remote control TV. There is a single shower, hand basin and toilet en-suite Floor space measures
Bedroom 8) is a double room with double bed having access from both sides. There is a clothes rail, bedside cabinet, armchair, stool, a floating shelf with mirror above and a remote control TV. The room also has an en- suite single shower, hand basin and toilet. Floor space measures
Bedroom 9) is a double room with double bed having access from both sides There is a dressing table with under space, an upright chair (no arms ), stool, wardrobe, bedside tables and remote control TV. The room also has an en- suite single shower, hand basin and toilet. Floor space measures
Bedroom 10) is a flexible double / twin room but accessed by a single step down. The single beds can be accessed from both sides as can the double bed, which is zip & link bed(s). There is a dressing table, bedside cabinet, upright chair (no arms), stool and wardrobe, and an en-suite with single shower, hand basin and toilet. Floor space measures
